Story Of R2 Fashion
STORY
Bohemian Style, also called Boho/chic surges in the 19th Century When several artists in Europe began to move to Gypsy neighborhoods .
The term Bohemian it refers to the anti-establishment life, anti-traditional and non classic life, and is interpreted as a way to express your individuality & creativity .
The look could pass for casual carefree by the amount of layers of clothes & prints at the same time.
Some fashionistas call it the perfect disaster , but R2Fashion thinks that in order to maintain the balance of this trend, the key is to coordinate the colors with the striking prints and create an harmony between the accessories , handbags and shoes.
Rosalba Rivera, R2 Fashion designer, worked in the Los Angeles Fashion Industry for 14 years. She learned the ABC of fashion when she met her first boss, a French Moroccan lady (Valerie) who introduce her to the fashion retail industry of MORGAN DE TOI (a French label) and the bohemian life she carried out her self. Rosalba knew the brand earlier in Mexico City, she knew the clothes were too expensive to purchase, so she starts designing her own adventure.
She worked for BEBE, BCBG, D&G, Max Studio, Arden B, Jacqueline Jarrot, just to name a few companies, as a buyer & stylish. In 2008 she moved back to Mexico where she started her own brand, with the inspiration of her Roots: The Mexican culture, Folklore, textiles & embroideries.
Once a year she works with different Artisans throughout Mexico in order to promote their embroideries, preserve their traditions and to help all the single Mother's out there that work very hard, need to bring food to the table, raise their kids & want to have a better quality life.
She promotes the Fashion Revolution campaign on the net with the #Imadeyourclothes by giving credit to all her native artisans working in her 6 different workshops.
